Utica Fire Department Timeline (Incomplete)

Utica's first mechanized apparatus received in 1913 and placed in service as Engine 1.  This is a 1913 Seagrave chemical and hose car.

Central Station on Elizabeth St. around 1925. Pictured from left to right are 2 Truck, a 1915 American LaFrance type 31 75 foot aerial; 2 Engine, a 1923 LaFrance 1000 GPM pumper; 2 Chemical, a 1917 LaFrance with 2 50 gallon tanks and about 400 ft of chemical hose; and a 1925 deputy chief's car.

 

Information and photos in the history section were mainly retrieved from the 100 yr centennial book published by the Utica Fire Dept. Centennial Committee in 1974.
