Utica's Salvage company began in 1930. The rig carried salvage tarps along with an assortment of rescue tools and equipment. This company responded to all regular alarms and also special calls such as chemical spills, water leaks and rescue calls. Shown above is the 1965 American LaFrance rig which served up to the mid 1980's when salvage 2 was disbanded. Below is the departments 1940 American LaFrance rig along with a scene of Salvage 2 in action.
